The Executive Board meets on third Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm at the library unless otherwise posted here.

 

Information About Friends of the Library

The purpose of the Friends of the M.N. Spear Library is to:

• maintain an association of persons interested in libraries

• stimulate the use of the library's resources and services

• focus public attention on the library

• support the American Library Association Bill of Rights

• receive and encourage gifts, endowments and bequests to the M. N. Spear Library

Friends support library services. You can help by:

• sending a donation

• becoming a Friends board member and attending meetings

• staffing a food sale

• being an idea person

• publicizing Friends events

Your donation to the Friends:

• funds the library periodicals collection

• helps fund the summer reading program and the summer party

• supplements special collections like videos, audios and children's books

• purchases big-ticket items not funded in the budget
