The Library Trustees are delighted to announce and congratulate Mary Anne Antonellis, the new Director of our library. A town resident for 16 years, Mary Anne has been working at the library since the former director left in September. Mary Anne will begin the position in January 2008.

As Director, she is charged with fulfilling the Long Range Plan of the library. In addition to her duties overseeing the operations of the library, Mary Anne will be responsible for attending meetings of Trustees, LFNAC (Library Facility Needs Assessments Committee), Friends of the Library and other town committees.

Shutesbury has recently been the recipient of a grant to explore possibilities for increasing the space for the library which has outgrown the building which cost $1,800 when it was built in 1903. Mary Anne will be busy. A longtime Friend of the library, Mary Anne says that this is her dream job.
